Membership Information
The
Club's Objective: to offer a competitive environment, of play, for both
American Pool Checkers and Chess players throughout the City.
To accomplish this objective, the Club holds tournaments (American Pool
Checkers and Chess) throughout the year. Additionally, the Club sponsors
matches, performs other social events, and attempts to offer a congenial
atmosphere, of play, for it's members and guests.
There are five classes of Membership: Regular Membership, Gold Membership,
Honorary Membership, Guest Membership, and Junior Membership.
Regular Membership - The Regular Members are required to pay a basic fee
of $5.00 each 10 weeks period. (This is the basic membership fee that is
needed to become a member in good standing.)
Gold Membership - The Gold Members agree to pay an additional $5.00 per
month for the purpose of building up the Club's treasury and for the purpose of
helping to finance some of the activities that the Club will be offering.
Gold Members MUST also be Regular Members.
Guest Membership - The Guest Members are persons who have been invited,
by the Club, to come and play (for a 30 days trial period) for FREE. The
Guest members, in addition to playing for FREE, are afforded the privilege of
coming in on days of play (Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays) and using the
facilities at their pleasure. Guest Members will be asked to sign the Club's
Roster (indicating that they are Guest Members) and to join up after their
initial 30 days trial period has expired.
Honorary Membership - Honorary Members are those persons who have made a
"significant" contribution to the Club. This could be monetary
but is not limited to monetary. Other contributions are also
recognized. Of course, their membership is FREE.
Junior Membership - The Junior Membership consist of those young
persons-18 years old, and younger, to come in and play for FREE. The
junior members are afforded the same rights and privileges as the Guest
Members.
